David Hogan is European snooker champion Heartiest congratulations to Borrisokane’s 21-year-old David Hogan who created history on Saturday last in Belgium when he became the first Irish man to win the European Snooker championship It was an all-Ireland final with David playing Mario Fernandez from St John's, Limerick in front of a very large crowd

21st BIRTHDAY
Congrats to Elaine Heenan, Ballyhaden, Borrisokane who last weekend
celebrated her 21st birthday. A party was held at her parents residence which was thoroughly enjoyed by her family and friends.
ENGAGEMENT
Heartiest congratulations to Ăine McKenna, Main St., Borrisokane and
Hugh O'Brien who announced their engagement recently.
TINY STEPS PRE-SCHOOL
Children from Tiny Steps Pre-School took part in the Big Toddlersfor Barnados. Joyce would like to hank everyone who helped out on the
day, people whom donated monies and of course the children themselves.

It's that time of the year again when the days are long and weather
is fine, what better way to spend the long evening than sitting
outside or inside reading!! There's something for everyone in
Borrisokane Library whether you want to meet new people and share
views with The Adult Book Club meeting once a month or you just want
to come in sit down and read the daily papers, surf the Internet,
research projects, and for Junior members yes it's that time of the
year, The Summer Reading Challenge will be commencing on the 27th of
June!!! Call in and get your books, to be on your way to
a........gold leaf! its never to late to sign up to become a member
of your local library.
FAMILY FUN DAY
Cloughjordan & Ballingarry Church of Ireland are holding a Family Fun
Day on Sunday 28th June from 3 - 6 p.m. at The Green. Cloughjordan. All Welcome! Attractions include Pony rides, Face
painting, Barbeque, Cakes, Books, Penalty Shootout and lots more.
Something for all the family.
