Kane Golf Society
A thoroughly enjoyable day was had by almost forty members who took
to the fairways in Roscrea Golf Club recently to compete for the 2008 Captain's (Donal Flannery) Prize. In ideal playing conditions, Anthony Whyte emerged from the tightly packed field to shoot an
impressive score of 41 points and take the honours. Also decided on the day was the Golfer of the Year title which went to Niall Kelly who was a model of consistency throughout the year. Full Results on the day were as follows: 1st, Anthony Whyte; 2nd, Tom
Kennedy; Gross Martin Guest, 3rd, Shane Guest; 4th, Mike Molloy;
5th, Dermot Donovan; Category 1, Adrian Egan; Category 2, Eoin Slattery; Category 3, Andrew McCarthy; Front Nine, Noel Gregg; Back
Nine, Niall Kelly; Longest Drive, Adrian Egan and Nearest the Pin Mike Molloy.
The final outing of the year is our annual 3 Ball Scramble event which will be played in Portumna Golf Club on Saturday, 29th Nov.
