The town park is under construction (2006). It is proposed to put in a childrens playground, playing fields, recreational area and camping. 2km of walkway has already been constructed.

Family Field Day
There will be a Family Field Day in the Ballinderry Sports-field this Sunday 4th July from 1.30pm. Test your skills at Penalty Kicks, Tag Rugby, Ball through the Tyre and lots more. There will be a Vintage Display and Dog Obedience Demonstration, face painting for the children and novelty races. Hot food also available, come and enjoy the fun.

Ceili and Set Dancing

Ceili and set dancing every Thursday in Kilbarron Hall from 8.30-10pm. For further information contact Mary McGeeney 067 22164.

Foot Clinic
Emma’s Foot Clinic will be held at O’Meara’s Pharmacy, Borrisokane on Tuesday 6th July from 9.30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Ring for appointment 086-1901247.

Church Gate collection
Bawnmore Special Needs Church Gate collection will be held on Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th July 2010 at the following locations- Borrisokane, Ardcroney, Portroe, Silvermines, Kilruane, Templederry,
Newtown, Toomevara & Grennanstown. On Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th
Puckane & Carrig. Contributions to this most worthy charity will be much appreciated.

Kane Club

The Kane Club Golf Society had a recent Golf Outing to Dromoland with an excellent turnout of 42 golfers taking part. The Society wish to thank John Kennedy, Home Decor, Nenagh, for sponsoring the first prize.
Congratulations to John Seymour who came in first on the day with a great score of 45 points and to all the other prizes winners.
The next outing will be to Ballybunion Golf Club on 16th July. More details later.
 
Tipperary Football
Well done to Tipperary senior footballers who beat Laois in the Qualifiers in a game played at Thurles on Sunday last. Borrisokane’s
Philip Austin played a vital role in this win and all wish him the best of luck in Tipp’s next outing against Dublin on Saturday week.

Music
The following will be performing this weekend at Tess Burkes. On Friday there will be an Open Session and on Saturday night a Dublin
group “The Grandis’ will be playing Sixties and Seventies classics, while on Sunday Rat Lynam will take the stage at 8 p.m.
